National Lawyers Guild MN

The Minnesota chapter of the National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to supporting local protest movements and direct actions through coordinating legal support. Most recently, the NLG MN has been working to provide legal support in response to the Minnesota Uprising that occurred after the brutal and tragic police murder of George Floyd. During the uprising the NLG MN assisted with coordinating legal observers and jail support as well as legal support for those that were arrested. The NLG MN is honored to support and fight alongside the brave and resilient people of Minnesota in the struggle towards justice.

North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center

My Pit Bull is Family was founded in 2011 by a landlord in Minneapolis, MN who realized that her properties were among the few that accepted Pit Bull Type Dogs. After she removed breed and weight restrictions in her properties, she adopted her first Pit Bull Type dog named Tate (left) and later Persia (right). Through her passion to promote inclusive pet policies – a campaign to end housing and insurance discrimination was started. Through a team of volunteers in Minneapolis and around the country, bumper stickers were shared and displayed by supporters. This campaign lead the volunteers to create a housing database of rentals that accept Pit Bull Type Dogs.

Shakira in ICE Detention. Support her legal defense funds

Shakira was arrested by ICE officials on September 15, 2025, after leaving her immigration court hearing at Federal Plaza in New York City. She was then transferred to a detention center in Louisiana. She could face an expedited trial and be returned to a country that does not guarantee her right to life. Your donation, no matter the size, is critical. It will help cover legal fees and ensure that Shakira has legal representation. Every day, every hour matters. Today, Shakira still holds on to hope. Support Powderhorn Families with Urgent Rent Relief

We are a small group of Powderhorn neighbors, and we have created this fund to administer direct financial support to meet the urgent needs of families in crisis as a result of being targeted by the current federal immigration enforcement activities in our community. Powderhorn is a community like no other. We are asking for your generous donations to help keep families in their homes this winter by directly supporting their rent and utilities expenses. Many individuals have not been able to work because it has become unsafe for them to leave their homes for fear of being detained.

Support for a Local Minneapolis School

The funds from this purchase will be donated to a local school to provide much-needed support for the school's students, teachers and faculty.
